RF Technician
RF Technicians are behind the scenes of every successful wireless communication network. They ensure signals are strong, clear, and uninterrupted, guaranteeing that systems from mobile communication to satellite data transfer operate at peak efficiency. In this role, RF Technicians diagnose, maintain, and troubleshoot RF systems to ensure that everything functions smoothly. Their work ensures connectivity and keeps the backbone of wireless communication strong and reliable.

RF Technician

RF System Installation (30%)
Install and maintain RF systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance for communication networks.
Ensure that all RF components are integrated and functioning according to specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve RF system issues on-site.
Signal Testing & Optimization (30%)
Conduct testing of RF signals to ensure clarity and strength.
Optimize RF systems for peak performance and minimal interference.
Adjust antenna placement and calibration to enhance signal reach.
Documentation & Reporting (20%)
Record detailed findings from RF testing, adjustments, and repairs.
Ensure all documentation is accurate, including system adjustments and performance reports.
Compliance & Safety (10%)
Ensure that all RF work complies with industry safety regulations and best practices.
Adhere to all federal and local standards regarding RF systems and signals.
Team Collaboration (10%)
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure effective installation and troubleshooting.
Contribute to problem-solving efforts as needed.

Workplace Requirements:
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel for site work.
Physical Demands: Ability to carry and maneuver up to 50lbs, ability to work at heights.
Work Conditions: Work is done in both indoor and outdoor environments, including heights and remote locations.
Certifications: Required certifications include RF training, First Aid/CPR, and OSHA certifications.
Safety:
Must ensure that all RF systems are installed, operated, and maintained according to strict safety standards, both on-site and remotely.

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of RF technology, signal systems, and testing equipment.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve RF system issues quickly.
Attention to Detail: Ensures that all testing and calibration is accurate and within specifications.
Safety Awareness: Follows safety protocols when working with RF equipment and signals.
Team Collaboration: Works closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure system integrity.
