Assistant Project Manager
Assistant Project Managers provide vital support to the overall project management process. They help coordinate tasks, manage schedules, and track project budgets. Behind the scenes, they ensure that the project stays on track by facilitating communication between teams, helping resolve issues, and ensuring that work progresses smoothly. This role offers a hands-on learning experience and the chance to develop leadership and project management skills.

Assistant Project Manager

Project Coordination (35%)
Assist the project manager in coordinating project activities, ensuring that all timelines and deliverables are met.
Schedule meetings, track project milestones, and handle day-to-day project operations.
Maintain communication with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
Documentation & Reporting (25%)
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, contracts, and progress reports.
Ensure that all documentation is submitted accurately and on time.
Assist in the preparation of status reports for senior management, highlighting key project metrics.
Team Support & Communication (20%)
Support the project manager in leading project teams and ensuring effective collaboration.
Address team concerns and provide assistance to ensure team members stay on track and meet project goals.
Facilitate communication between teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure timely project progress.
Budget & Resource Management (15%)
Assist in tracking project budgets, ensuring expenditures stay within the approved budget.
Monitor resource allocation and assist with procurement to ensure that project materials and tools are available.
Help the project manager identify cost-saving opportunities and implement budget adjustments.
Risk Management & Safety Compliance (5%)
Support the project manager in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Ensure that all safety protocols are being followed by the project team and that the project site is compliant with industry standards.

Workplace Requirements:
Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits.
Physical Demands: Standard office work and site visits.
Work Conditions: Office-based work with some site visits to oversee project progress.
Certifications: PMP certification preferred.
Safety:
Must ensure safety procedures are followed by project teams, providing oversight to prevent accidents.

Project Coordination: Strong organizational skills to assist with project timelines, resources, and communications.
Problem-Solving: Able to address project challenges and identify solutions quickly.
Communication: Facilitates clear communication between clients, vendors, and team members.
Leadership: Provides support to project managers and leads teams effectively.
Attention to Detail: Ensures that all project documents, timelines, and budgets are accurately maintained.
